Buckle up for a hand-gripping expedition that is sure to keep you cool and raging with adventure! Tanque Verde Ranch is now offering new Jeep Tours by Trail Dust Off-Road Tours on the weekly activities schedule for the rest of the summer. Depart from Tanque Verde Ranch and ride up Mt. Lemmon in an open-air jeep. The experience is more than just a ride, but hiking and site-seeing undertaking of the desert mountains to a whole new level. It is a perfect activity for any summer get-away!
Because the summer months can be so hot at the Tanque Verde Ranch the activities schedule can be restrictive so we can keep the safety of our guests, staff, and animals the main priority. But no worries, there is still plenty to do! Be sure to take advantage of early morning rides, hikes, and bikes along with sunset rides, hikes, and bikes! During the day, take on the Jeep tour to keep your adrenaline soring in between horseback riding, mountain biking, and desert hikes.
What’s Included?
Be part of the energetic jaunt of your jeep climbing up 7,000 feet on the Mt. Lemmon Highway for about 34 miles throughout the rocky desert terrain. Take in the breathtaking sites 0f tall cliffs, mountains, cacti, wildlife, and more. Once you reach the top of Mt. Lemmon, where on average it is 20 degrees cooler, hang out in the small town of Summerhaven, where you can take in the picturesque beauty and visit the quaint little general store and gift shop and wander off on some hiking trails. You may also choose to join one of our hiking guides for a 90-minute informative hike around the mountain. Here, you can expect to learn everything from desert wildlife to the history of Mt. Lemmon and more. After, meet up and have a late lunch provided by The Ranch while enjoying the scenic views together. Hop back in your jeep for the trek home and take advantage of the several stops on the way back down the mountain to snap some everlasting memories and for some fantastic photo opportunities.

The Jeep Tours at Tanque Verde Ranch by Trail Dust Off Road occur every Tuesday and Friday from 1:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. A minimum of three people is required for this activity to happen. Up to five people can fit comfortably in each jeep. Tours are not limited if you have more than five people to your group. The more people, the more jeeps are provided. Please be sure to sign up a day in advance to ensure the best fit your party’s accommodations. For only $100 per person take on the jeep ride, hikes, and lunch.
