Tanque Verde Ranch is now introducing a couple of new activities that involve fun for the entire family. For our first activity, we now offer a low-key, but highly fun Archery course. And for the second activity, we currently partner with Tucson Adventure Rentals to bring to you Side-by-Sides and Slingshot rentals to ultimately give you a desert ride like never before! With more activities added to the Tanque Verde agenda, among the various other activities, horseback rides, mountain biking, hiking, and so much more—wouldn’t you say it’s time for the Arizona adventure you’ve been dreaming of?

Archery

Slip-on your boots and kick it on over to our Archery station, just a few skips north of the main office. Here, you will find our Archery station with several lanes. Stretch back a bow and shoot arrows towards targets. We provide you appropriate Archery equipment along with safety rules and regulations in place. Our targets are clearly marked among stacked hay bales. Our lanes range from 10 to 50 yards in length, providing different challenges and skill-building. Our outdoor shooting range provides archers of all abilities the chance to learn, develop, and perfect their skills, all while having a blast. Make up your very own games with points and scoring, and yell “BULLSEYE!” when you hit the middle of the ring! Check the activities schedule for open time slots and reserve your Archery activity in advance to secure your spot.

 Side-by-Sides with Tucson Adventure Rentals

Here, at Tanque Verde Ranch, we are ALL about exploring the Sonoran Desert. By horseback, mountain bike, and feet, you may think that you are capable of seeing it all, however, we have one more way to truly experience the magic amid the Tucson terrain. Hop on in and sit on down into one of Polaris’s finest masculine-machines, the RZR. Provided by Tucson Adventure Rentals, you can now partake in a whole new, adrenaline-pumping way to discover the finest beauties the Sonoran Desert has to offer.

Tucson Adventure Rentals offers self-guided tours using GPS units that climb throughout the Redington Pass. Redington Pass is a high-mountain trail that sits between the Santa Catalina Mountains and the Rincon Mountains, just north of the Ranch. The tour runs straight through – 25 miles from Tucson to Redington and back again. The trail follows the main pass but don’t let that turn you off, it’s full of bumps, curves, and scenic overlooks. Take in the views of Tucson’s famous Saguaros and nature. Once you have reached the top of the pass, the views become more of a ‘Big Country’ scene. With rolling hills, wide-open skies, twists, turns, climbs, and drops, your side-by-side excursion with Tucson Adventure Rentals will be sure to give you a fun time.
